Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Boarding

Stand up paddle boarding was made popular by surf legend Laird Hamilton as a way to stay in shape when the surf was “flat”. The ultra long & stable board allows you to balance standing up, sitting, kneeling or laying on your stomach like surfing. You paddle with a single oar & cruise out in the ocean. Stand up paddle board instructors will teach you how to paddle out through the beach break, introduce you to different techniques and even catch some waves.

Horseback Riding

Ride through the pristine rain forest of our 1500 acre private reserve. Eat fresh local fruits while we give you a skin treatment with the earth’s mud you will never forget then bath in the natural spring fed pools in the heart of the jungle. Kayaking
Playa Hermosa and Playa Nosara
Playa Nosara: The journey starts early in the morning at the south end of Guiones beach, and takes you exploring the adjacent reefs through clear warm waters. Depending on the tide, you can dock on the nearby pink sand beach or venture to catch small waves to the shore. Frequently, Olive Ridley sea turtles will pop up to say hi. The kayak tour will take you through the Nosara Rivermouth at sunset. As you paddle at a relaxing rhythm through the mangrove you’re likely to see various species of birds and if you are really lucky maybe even a small crocodile!
Playa Hermosa: Playa Agujas Tour: This tour departs and ends at our base in Playa Agujas which is a designated “Blue Flag” beach by the ICT (Instituto Costarricense de Turismo) and is a very beautiful spot. After some brief instruction you will be ready to go paddling. The ocean is calm and non-threatening. You will paddle 30 to 40 casual minutes along spectacular cliffs filled with pelicans and frigate birds to one of our destination beaches. All of the destinations are beautiful the difference will be in the quality of the snorkeling and the size of group that the location can comfortably accommodate. The quality of the snorkeling, like the weather, is a variable of the tour that we have no control over.

Hermosa: Provided by Spa Del Mar @ Club Del Mar. The massage will complete your surf vacation with relaxation. Let the masseuse spoil you with a 60 minute massage that will relieve muscle pain and stress.
Nosara: Our Signature Massage. A classic full body massage that is both relaxing and stimulating. This massage helps soothe muscles, boost circulation and alleviate mental stress, fostering balance and serenity.

Spanish Lessons

Stimulate your mind during your vacation by taking private Spanish classes to learn the local language with one of our local Spanish language schools in either Hermosa or Nosara beach. They will send the instructor directly to your hotel & courses offered will provide either 4 day or 6 day sessions, depending on your camp duration.

Our style of Yoga combines principles of Ashtanga, Bikram and Anusara creating a strong, healthier and happier flow. Classes relieve stress, anxiety, improves balance, flexibility and increases strength and calmness. Yoga classes will take place in our favorite locations including a beachfront ocean view yoga deck and choices of other beautiful locations depending on your surf camp week.

Learn the essential body and mind connection through this holistic lifestyle and exercise regime. Lengthen and strengthen all your muscles, and develop your abdominal and back muscles to protect, stabilize and balance your spine. Get and incredible workout through the Pilates Classical Mat routine, a great exercise and the perfect complement to any sport including surfing. Del Mar Surf Camp provides fitness training for the surf packages. The classes are specifically designed and selected to offer your body the maximum benefit it needs to reach your fitness goals.
