BEGINNER SURF LESSONS
2:1 Student to Instructor ratio
Depending on the tides, we will start our day with a surf lesson where you will learn the basics of surfing, safety tips, paddling techniques, standing up on a board and riding waves. Then if you book our Surf + Activity package, bring your gear and get ready to either go for a mountain biking tour or stand up paddling session!

ADVANCED SURF TOUR
4:1 Surfer to Guide ratio
If you’ve come to Costa Rica to surf, get the best local surfing experience possible! This program is designed for experienced surfers & includes all transportation to popular breaks in Hermosa, Jaco, Esterillos, Agujas & Punta Leona (depending on swell & conditions).
- 1 Surf Session (2 hours): $80
- Add extra person to your tour: $20/person*
*Up to four people in advanced surf tour.
Private Surf Lessons
1:1 Surf Lesson
Our surf instructors will start with a demonstration along with a stretching program on the beach. Our goal is to make you feel safe, secure and confident in the water. Basic surfing skills, safety tips, paddling techniques, standing up on a board and riding waves will part of your instruction. With a ratio of one student per one instructor, you can guarantee that you will catch the ideal waves for a beginner.
- 1 Private Surf Lesson (2 hours): $80
FAMILY SURF LESSONS (for 4)
2 Adults and 2 Kids (under 12) or 1 Adult and 3 Kids (under 12)
Enjoy a day of surfing with the family in the water! The surf lesson will start with a review of surf tips, basics, safety, paddling techniques and practice popping up on your board on land. Then with a maximum of 2:1 surf instructor ratio, you can guarantee that the whole family will be taken care of and catching waves for a great family day of fun and laughter!

Santa Teresa Surf Lesson
Surf Lesson in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica
If you are looking for surf lessons and not in either of our core locations in Hermosa or Nosara, we offer surf lessons with our retreat partner, Pranamar Villas in Santa Teresa, Mal Pais. Your surf lessons will take place directly out front of the resort all equipped with full rental equipment and surf lesson from the Del Mar Surf Camp team. If you are looking to relax and stretch out before or after your surf lesson as well, Pranamar Villas offers the towns best yoga class in their yoga shala. Email us for details!

Surf + Yoga, Day Package
Price: $99 USD per person

If you are just starting to surf, have never been on a board or have surfed a few times, know how to paddle out and want a refresher, the beginner surf lessons are for you. Then get whisked off to end or begin your day (depending on tide times) with a mind & soul releasing yoga class.
- Package Start Time: Approx 7 AM. (Depending on tide times)
- Package Length: Minimum 4 hours
- What’s Included: Pick up/drop off at your hotel, all required transportation, surf lesson, surf equipment, yoga class, breakfast or lunch.
- What do you need to take: Bathing suit, towel, sunblock, sandals, rashguard (if you have), water, comfortable clothes.
- Season: All year long.

Surf + Canopy, Day Package (Kids Friendly Family Package)
Price: $150 USD per person
“Surf + Canopy – the perfect day adventure from the Ocean to the Mountains for adults & kids.”
This package is perfect for a family day of fun or a full day adventure for discovery. If you are just starting to surf, have never been on a board or have surfed a few times, know how to paddle out and want a refresher, the beginner surf lessons are for you. Then get whisked off to end or begin your day (depending on tide times) with a canopy/ziplining tour through the jungles of Costa Rica discovering tucans, macaws and monkeys on your way down the multi-zipline tour.

Surf + Adventure
Price: $150 USD per person

Spend a day exploring through Costa Rica from Ocean to Mountain top with a series of activities including surfing and choice of ATV/horseback riding/stand up paddling or mountain biking. We have a meal covered, your activities booked and all you have to do is enjoy and have fun!
