Playa Hermosa Surf Trip

Each week during or after camp we like to share what’s been going on at Del Mar Surf Camp, in a series of WUWs.. What’s up Wednesday! We had the honor of taking surfers, Doug & Greg out on a surfari to surf spots here in Playa Hermosa, Jaco and wanted to share this amazing thank you note to our head instructor & surfari guide, Josymar Fuentes.

WUW: Surf Trip in HD

WUW: How to Surf, on YouTube

This week’s What’s up Wednesday (WUW), features a screenshot from a video series we are currently taping for Del Mar Surf Camp’s YouTube channel. We know many of you watch and dream of surfing from the comforts of your own home watching videos and how to’s on how getting up on your board and while we like to give you the REAL experience to surf, we know sometimes, you just can’t peel yourself away from real life. So we’re bringing the experience to you in HD quality, How to Surf. Stay tuned for the first one coming soon!

Magazines, Contests… Hello 2011!

Every Wednesday, we post our weekly WUW!, also known as “What’s Up Wednesday!” where we share news about what’s been going on with the camp & what we’ve been up to!




This week, we’ve been so honored to find out that we’re kickstarting the new year with two new magazines published about Del Mar Surf Camp along with one of our surf instructors who’s been out competing in surf competitions, Jefferson Tascon has just won the National Surf contest in Columbia – Circuito Colombiano de Surf 2011.

Eastern Surf Magazine

Eastern Surf Magazine (ESM) celebrated it’s 20th year anniversary with a huge feature magazine and we were honored to be in it! They feature surfers, stellar surf photography, surf news and pride themselves in being the source for diehard waveriders. Our ad includes a shot of Josymar Fuentes, our Hermosa Beach location head surf instructor.

Revista VOS

Revista VOS is Costa Rica’s Life & Health magazine and when they approached Maria del Mar to contribute to the magazine, they knew they wanted to cover one of the most popular industries in Costa Rica, surfing. Here Maria talks about surf tips and inspiring women’s surfing. Featuring image of female surfer, is five year old daughter of our office manager, Nadine Cadet.
