I am grateful to be Costa Rican, and I always thankful for being given the chance to share such an amazing life full of beautiful colors, nature and epic waves. Things happen for a reason and through Del Mar Surf Camp myself and my friends are able to make dreams come true. My life is filled with love and unforgettable moments that give me the desire to introduce my country to more chicas and enjoy every second of my life as if it is the last. Pura Vida!!

The moment I came to Nosara for the first time 5 years ago, I knew this was the place for me. Two years later I was living here full time and working as a hotel manager. Nosara slowly changed my way of thinking, my spirit, my body and my life. Slowly, I became aware of the more simple but more important everyday things. Slowly, I became healthier and shed the destructive habits of the normal city life. Living in a secluded place helped me learn to go with the flow and lead a less stressful life. Surfing teaches me every day the magnificence of the ocean and nature overall!
The surf camp is my opportunity to share with others this lifestyle that gives me so much happiness day after day! Nosara has a magic energy that draws people from all over the world, I can't wait to be with you as you experience it for yourself!

¨Del Rio¨ no ¨Del Mar¨, I am not Maria del Mar's Sister but I’m a friend who loves to share Del Mar surf Camp projects and be around of a healthy lifestyle, practicing surfing every day.
I was the last to join the group Del Mar Surf Camp team with new base opening in Santa Teresa and also as the head Surf Mama with Del Mar Surfing Academy, our sister company. As I wasn´t born in Costa Rica, I am so thankful on how this country welcomed me 9 years ago and how the local people gave me the opportunity to work with what I enjoy the most, Surfing!
Del Mar is a great family and I’m so glad to be part of it.

Born and raised in Jaco, Costa Rica, Alonso is a talented local surfer who has been building a name around the national circuit for several years now. As a surfing protégé, he has been able to transmit that confident, safe feeling while in the water and at the same time making it fun. Pura Vida!!

Sweet, professional and patient, Isabel joined our team one year ago and brings the costarican girl power into action. Special to work with kids or women, Isa will guide you to learn the basics of surfing and have the best time. She is also an excellent painter and passioned teacher

I felt in love with the sport 14 years ago & ever since then, I've been a surfer. I've surfed Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama and have vast ocean knowledge, CPR certified, Life Guard Certified and have 8 years of surfing Instruction as a surf instructor for beginner and advanced surfers. I love to share with the world the sport that changed my life and makes me happy everyday of my life. Surfing is not just a sport but a life style and Costa Rica is a paradise.

Originally from Pavones ( one of the longest waves in the world ) Durby moved to Jaco area about 12 years ago. His long experience, style and quality of surfing that he achieved in 17 years, gave him the ability to play with a Long board or stand up paddle like if he was on his short board flying out in the air and always ripping!

Pollo is our youngest surf instructor. He is full of life and you will always see him with a big smile! Stocked on surfing and teaching the sport, he inspires a lot of us for being so young and following his passion.

Diego is originally from San Jose. His first close encounter with the ocean was in Mexico when he learned to scuba dive. It was then when he realized his love for the water and started surfing in Hermosa. He now lives in Nosara and his favorite break is Marbella.

Surf Instructor - Santa Teresa
With lots of flavor from Puerto Viejo in the Caribbean side of Costa Rica, our friend Ismael has been with us since 2008 . Starting with Del Mar Surf Camp Jaco and now taking over our new location in Santa Teresa; Ismael is consider one of the best surf instructors in the country. Full of confidence and willing to see you progress and catch the perfect wave, he is waiting for you to share his all of his knowledge!
